Creative Voyager

I am always busy designing, making and generally creating something interesting.

This year I picked up my paint brushes away from the design studio and created a range of family portraits for pleasure.  I haven't painted portraits for over 14 years so I feel a little rusty but I've enjoyed the process and challenges of gaining a likeness to the person.

I have also successfully created and sold a range of acrylic seascapes.  They are loose and ephemeral in appearance and the layering of acrylic paint has created surface texture which adds to their interest.  The seascapes were inspired by my travels around the UK and abroad.  I would love to live by the coast and paint more often.

I recently exhibited a small collection of seascapes alongside the portraits at Kirkstall Art Trail in Leeds.  This was a fabulous experience set within the Chapterhouse of Kirkstall Abbey.  There was plenty of space for me to set out my paintings which is almost unheard of in more formal settings.

Currently I don't have any plans to exhibit again but I may visit this option in the near future.  For now I have added a page to my website to show my paintings.  The page is still being developed and I am awaiting high resolution images which will show off the paintings.  Bare with me whilst this happens.
